Walsall boss Mat Sadler has spoken of his disappointment as his side slipped to defeat away to Mansfield Town on Saturday afternoon.
Going into the match on the back of a late draw with Crawley Town, the Saddlers were hoping to take a somewhat unlikely three points from Nigel Clough's Stags, but the side that is yet to taste defeat in the league so far this season, stood firm to deny their visitors.
Goals from Aden Flint and Jordan Bowery either side of Ryan Stirk's second goal of the season proved to be enough to secure the win for the in-form Stags, much to the annoyance of Sadler.
Speaking to the assembled media, including the Express & Star, Mat first sought to praise goalscorer Stirk, he said; "We switched his - Ryan Stirk - role a little bit when we changed to a 4-3-3 and it gave him license to press more.
"In that spell after they scored, I felt like him and Coms were on the same line as each other. I just needed to release the pair of them to do what they are good at.
"Ryan certainly epitomised that with the way he went about his stuff. It was pleasing to see him score.
"It was just when we were on top for large parts of the second half, we just couldn't get that second goal, or walk away from here with a point.
"A stuffy goal took the momentum away from us and put Mansfield on their way to victory."
