PRE-MATCH NEWS
Mat's Saddlers returned to the bottom of the ladder last weekend as their four-game unbeaten run was ended by Michael Flynn's in-form Swindon Town.
After making steady progress over the weeks heading towards their meeting with the Robins, the Reds entered a rather frustrating performance as Charlie Austin and Rushian Hepburn-Murphy netted to secure all three points for their side.
Managing just two shots on target, it was probably unsurprising that Walsall failed to out-score the league-leading goalscorers, however, we'd have liked to have seen them try.
This weekend's meeting with AFC Wimbledon sees Sadler's men take on a team in a poor run of their own as they will arrive in WS1 on the back of four winless league games - though we hope the Saddlers don't take pity on them and give them the gift of three points to take back home.
WALSALL TEAM NEWS
The Saddlers still have Rollin Menayese and Jack Earing out as they continue to recover from last season's injuries, whilst Tom Knowles is suspended following his two yellow cards last weekend.

HEAD-TO-HEAD
The Saddlers and Dons have met on just eight previous occasions, and it's all-square with the two sides winning four games each.
The first meeting took place at Bescot Stadium on Saturday, 6th August 2016, and saw Walsall win by three-goals-to-one as Erhun Öztümer and Simeon Jackson, who netted a brace, got their names on the scoresheet.
Wimbledon's goal came via the penalty spot as Lyle Taylor slipped the ball past Neil Etheridge from the spot in the last minute of normal time.
THE LAST TIME WE MET
The most recent meeting took place at the Cherry Red Records Stadium on Tuesday, 28th March 2023, and saw the Dons win by two-goals-to-nil as Will Nightingale and Ali Al-Hamadi netted in the second-half to secure the points for the home side.
MATCH OFFICIALS
The EFL has confirmed that Declan Bourne, who is based in Nottinghamshire, will be the man in the middle, whilst Samuel Fudge and Richard Morris have been named assistant referees. Kevin Howick will act as Fourth Official.
