Walsall Head Coach Mat Sadler spoke of his frustration after seeing his team snatch a draw from the jaws of victory as they let a two-goal lead slip to take just a point for their trip to Gresty Road.
Taking the lead via Freddie Draper's first goal in a Walsall shirt, the Saddlers went into the break with a two-goal lead after Isaac Hutchinson opened his account for the season after thirty minutes of play.
However, in a feat which the Railwaymen had already achieved twice so far this season, they mounted a comeback to take a share of the spoils with Jack Powell netting in the ninety-fifth minute, adding to Elliott Nevitt's earlier goal.
Taking his team into the game on the back of a midweek defeat to Wrexham, Sadler admitted that yet-more errors cost his side the win, as his side created more than enough opportunities to be out of sight before their host's second-half comeback.
Speaking to the assembled media, including the Express & Star, Mat said; "There were many good performances and that's the frustration because we played so well and we should win the game comfortably.
"But we must use that as extra motivation to win the next game. We should comfortably have been three or four nil up in the game.
"That's the biggest frustration for me but it's the biggest thing that I have to hold on to and take away from the game."
