Walsall Head Coach Mat Sadler has reaffirmed his desire to find regular first-team football for attacking midfielder Ronan Maher as he continues to make his way in the beautiful game.
Maher, who played for eighty minutes of the Saddlers' midweek EFL Trophy defeat to Brighton Under-21s, is battling Isaac Hutchinson and Ross Tierney for a place in the team, and the gaffer is hoping to secure him some regular football elsewhere.
Speaking via the Express & Star shortly after the 3-2 defeat to the Seagulls starlets, Sadler said; "I am desperate to get him continuous football where it means the world to play because there is a football player in there.
"There’s a couple of options. I wanted him to play in this game. That was important to me that he did play in this game, and then we’ll look to progress things now."
