Walsall have completed the signing of Crawley Town forward Aramide Oteh, who joins the Saddlers on a one-year contract with an option for another, after leaving the Red Devils at the end of his contract.
Aramide returns to WS1 over four years after a promising loan spell which saw him net one goal across his thirteen appearances for the club.
London-born Oteh was on Tottenham Hotspur’s books as a youngster before joining QPR in January 2017. He went on to score six goals in six starts for QPR’s Under-23s in 2016/17, including four in one match, form which saw him make a shirt-term move to the Saddlers.
The 24-year-old also enjoyed loan spells Bradford City, Stevenage, and Colchester United before leaving QPR for Salford City on a short-term deal in September 2021.
After scoring twice across fourteen first-team appearances, Oteh left the Ammies for Crawley Town in February 2022 where he would go on to make thirty-five appearances, scoring seven goals.
Speaking via the club's official website, Head Coach Mat Sadler welcomed Aramide back to the Bescot, he said; "I’m really happy to get Aramide to the club.
"I really like his attacking play, he’s exceptionally bright, quick and moves the team up the pitch. The flip of that is he works extremely hard out of possession and really hard for the team.
"Darren spoke really highly of him as well. We had a lot of conversations about him and a lot of them were centred about how hard he is willing to work both in and out of possession for the team.
"He adds something a little bit different to what we’ve currently got in our attack and he’s another good addition to the club."
