The EFL has confirmed that the group stage draw for the 2023/24 EFL Trophy will be concluded on Thursday afternoon, shortly after the league fixtures have been released.
With the draw set to place at around 11.30am live on Sky Sports News, the Saddlers have already been pitted against fellow League Two outfit Forest Green Rovers and League One side over-the-border rivals Shrewsbury Town in Southern Group A.
Thursday's draw will see one of the so-called "invited clubs" placed into the group with Arsenal U21s, Aston Villa U21s, Brighton & Hove Albion U21s, Chelsea U21s, Crystal Palace U21s, Fulham U21s, Tottenham Hotspur U21s, and West Ham United U21s all eligible for the draw.
