Following the news that he'd put pen-to-paper on a new deal at Poundland Bescot Stadium, Walsall midfielder Isaac Hutchinson has spoken of his delight as he looks to help the club progress, both on and off the pitch.
"As a team, we’ve got to finish this season on a high and hopefully that can take us into next season with a bit of confidence."
Isaac, who joined the Saddlers on a free transfer from Derby County in the summer of 2022, has already made forty-six first-team appearances, scoring some seven goals.
After penning his new deal, the midfielder is hoping to be able to drive the team forward with the 22-year-old hoping to add more goals to his game with the former Southend United man looking forward to the future.
Speaking via the club's official website, Isaac said; "I’m delighted. From the second I came; I’ve loved my time here.
"We’ve got a great group of lads and the staff and the gaffer have been brilliant with me so there is no place better for me to be at the moment.
"It felt like the natural progression now to have that bit of security for the next couple of years and hopefully they can be successful years on the pitch.
"I want to get into double figures for goals and assists, I’m three off both now so I think that’s doable.
"As a team, we’ve got to finish this season on a high and hopefully that can take us into next season with a bit of confidence."
