Walsall were back in action on Tuesday evening as they made the trip to the Cherry Red Records Stadium and took on fellow strugglers AFC Wimbledon with both sides keen to end a run of winless games.
The first goal of the game didn't arrive until the second half when Dons defender Will Nightingale got on the end of an Armani Little corner to put the ball beyond Owen Evans and into the back of the net.
Wimbledon went on to double their lead with just over fifteen minutes of the game remaining as second-half substitute Ali Al-Hamadi added his name to the scoresheet following a scramble inside the Walsall penalty box.
