Walsall boss Michael Flynn has confirmed that Conor Wilkinson will undergo a scan later this evening in a bid to determine his level of injury after the striker was forced off during Saturday's League Two draw with Leyton Orient.
Wilkinson, who was named among the substitutes for Saturday's clash with table-topping Orient, replaced Matty Stevens early in the second-half, but was himself substituted during the latter stages of the match, with the 28-year-old being carried off on a stretcher.
Speaking shortly after the game, Head Coach Flynn confirmed that Wilkinson's injury is to the same knee which has seen him sit out the majority of the season, with the former Orient man only recently returning to action following a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Flynn said; "That's a real shame for Conor to go off like that when he has worked so hard to get back but hopefully it is not too severe and we will know more after the weekend."
