Walsall were back in cup action on Sunday afternoon as they made the trip to Greater Manchester and took on Stockport County in the Third Round of the 2022/23 Emirates FA Cup.
The match was a competitive affair, with both sides creating chances to open the scoring, but it was the Saddlers who ultimately took the lead as Danny Johnson grabbed yet another goal nineteen minutes into the second half.
Just when it looked like the Saddlers were going to secure safe passage to the Fourth Round, their hearts were broken as second-half substitute Paddy Madden levelled the scores.
However, the drama didn't end there as the Saddlers were awarded a late spot-kick as Paddy Madden felled Liam Kinsella in the area, with Andy Williams only too happy to oblige from the spot!
