PRE-MATCH NEWS & VIEWS
Fresh off their Emirates FA Cup - Third Round triumph over Stockport County, Michael Flynn's Saddlers return to League Two action on Saturday afternoon and a meeting with fellow mid-tablers, Tranmere Rovers.
With Walsall losing just one of their last nine league games, confidence will be high heading into a match which, if results go their way, could see the Boys from the Bescot make major inroads towards securing a place in the Play-Offs.
This weekend's match sees the Saddlers creep over the halfway point in their league season, and, after winning ten, drawing six, and losing seven of their previous twenty-three outings, they'll be keen to maintain their good form when Micky Mellon's men come to town.
On to Tranmere, and their most recent outing was a league meeting with Sutton United and a match which ended with the teams taking a share of the spoils as goals from Josh Hawkes and Kane Hemmings were bookended by an Alistair Smith as the Amber and Chocolates frustrated their hosts.
FORM IN FIVE
Here is how the Saddlers and their opponents Tranmere Rovers have fared in their last five Sky Bet League Two games, with Walsall enjoying a rich vein of form.

THE LAST TIME WE MET
The most recent meeting between the Saddlers and Tranmere took place at Poundland Bescit Stadium on Saturday, 24th September 2022, and saw Walsall suffer late heartbreak as Elliott Nevitt netted a 95th-minute goal to snatch all three points for the visitors.
