Brendan Kiernan was among the starters as Grimsby Town took on and defeated League One strugglers Burton Albion in the Emirates FA Cup at Blundell Park.

Sadly for Brendan, he'd left the pitch when the winning goal as his replacement Lewis Richardson wasted little time in making his mark as he grabbed the game's only goal just three minutes after taking to the field of play.

Peter Clarke started and scored as Oldham Athletic took on Dorking Wanderers in the National League on Saturday afternoon.

The match was a high-scoring affair as the Latics ran out comfortable 5-1 winners as goals from Mike Fondop-Talum, the striker netting a treble, Clarke and Ellis Chapman scored for David Unsworth's side with James McShane's opening goal of the game proving to be a false dawn for the Wanderers.

Fellow Saddler Timmy Abraham had to make do with a place on the bench for the entire game as the manager opted to introduce other options over the course of the contest.

Joe Foulkes was also in the starting eleven as Kidderminster Harriers and Leamington played out a goalless draw at the New Windmill Ground, the point doing little for either side as they remain in midtable of the National League North.
