Walsall boss Michael Flynn cut a happy figure after seeing his Saddlers book their place in the Third Round of the FA Cup with a 2-1 triumph over Carlisle United.
Going into the game on the back of last weekend's comeback win over Crawley Town, Walsall once again mounted a late lunge to knock their visitors out of the world's oldest domestic cup competition.
Trailing to Ryan Edmondson's first-half goal, second-half substitutes Andy Williams and Douglas James-Taylor netted in the 88th and 93rd minute respectively to seal their side's place in Monday's Third Round draw.
Speaking to the assembled media, including the Express & Star, Flynn, who made several mid-match tactical changes in order to counteract the Cumbrians, insisted it's part and parcel of the game.
Flynn said; "That's what managers have to do depending on the situation - our situation was that we had a number of players struggling and we needed to make full use of the bench and tweak formations.
"We had to battle and we had to harry for the two goals we eventually got and the win which I think was deserved by the way based on our second-half performance.
"We didn't give up even though it was like knocking on the door to try and get it open for a large part of the game - it paid off.
"Obviously, I am delighted for the lads, some of them won't have been involved in the third round of the cup before and to stay in it the way we did, they deserve a good draw.
"We will have minimal training early in the week and let the lads who are struggling recover then we have a vital game on Friday night - in the meantime, we can enjoy the draw on Monday,"
