MARCH FOR PROSTATE CANCER

Prostate Cancer UK are once again hosting a series of epic marathon marches this September as the football community unites against the most common cancer in men – and the West Midlands leg visits the Poundland Bescot Stadium this afternoon.

The leading men’s health charity will visit iconic football venues across the nation, also marching across Greater Manchester, the South Coast and London. Football fans will come together for this unforgettable event, marching, sharing stories, and fundraising to help save men's lives.

The 26.2-mile West Midlands route kicks off at Birmingham City’s St Andrew’s ground, and the first stint takes walkers to Edgbaston Stadium, home of Warwickshire CCC. They then head to Aston Villa and from Villa Park the route visits the Poundland Bescot Stadium, with the Saddlers, despite being in League Two action against Tranmere Rovers this afternoon, offering the penultimate stop of the day. The route continues across the Black Country and finishes at Molineux, home of Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That’s thousands of dads, grandads, partners, brothers, uncles, sons and mates. That’s our fellow Saddlers. By supporting the Football March and raising money, you’ll help fund lifesaving research into earlier prostate cancer diagnosis, better treatment and essential support services for men. Good luck to everyone participating"
