One of Walsall's long-term injury absentees appears to be nearing a return to football after the media team posted a series of images confirming he has started running at the club's Essington Training Ground.
Liam Gordon, who became the Saddlers' first summer signing back in May, is yet to play a competitive game for the Reds after suffering what was then described as a 'bizarre' foot injury in July.
The former Bolton Wanderers defender underwent an operation in early July and has been among the Saddlers' frustratingly lengthy list of walking wounded ever since.
However, after being pictured on an exercise bike a few weeks ago, the left-back has now taken to running as his rehabilitation continues.
