Following the news that he'd become the latest player to complete a move to Poundland Bescot Stadium, midfielder Jacob Maddox spoke of his desire to hit the ground running.
23-year-old Maddox, who recently left Portuguese side Vitória de Guimarães, has penned a one-year deal in WS1 and is hoping to help the team score more goals and get their campaign back on track.
A product of both the Bristol City and Chelsea youth systems, Jacob has enjoyed a varied career and is hoping to showcase what he'd capable of during his initial first-year in WS1.
Speaking via the club's official website, Jacob said; "I am delighted to be here. It is a great opportunity for me to help the team.
"I like the Club, the ground and the manager. I am coming here to play as many games as I can and help the team the best I can.
"I would like to say that I am comfortable on the ball. I will take it on in any area and I want to get others involved in my play.
"I would like to score more goals and get more assists. I feel like I have the qualities to do so, so that is something that I think I can improve on and help the team with this year."
