Walsall captain Donervon Daniels has spoken to the local press and admitted the Saddlers are going through a tough spell, but insists they will soon turn it all around.
Daniels was speaking after the Reds saw their winless run extended to seven all-competition games as they lost 2-1 to Bradford City at Valley Parade on Saturday afternoon.
Despite dominating much of the contest goals from Andy Cook and Jake Young saw the Bantams take all three points, even after the skipper went on to grab a goal of his own.
Walsall began the game in swift fashion, even earning a penalty with just two-minutes played, but, with home stopper Harry Lewis entering a Man of the Match performance, they were denied from the spot before going on to ship two second-half goals.
Speaking to the media, including the Express & Star, Daniels said; "Obviously, at the moment, we're going through a bit of a tough patch.
"But it's part and parcel of going on and achieving something. If we had it all our way throughout the entire season, it would feel a bit fake.
"Obviously, you don't want to go through it, but I believe in the group, the manager and every single member of staff.
"It will come good. It's just having to persevere through this tough time."
Despite suffering a defeat, Walsall entered one of their better performances of the season and were unlucky to leave the game with nothing to show for their endeavours, something which clearly frustrates Daniels.
He continued; "It's extremely frustrating. Everyone saw how dominant we were in that game, from the first whistle.
"We were excellent. It's just a lapse in concentration and mistakes for their two goals. We can take heart from our performance.
"It's just frustrating as we gave them a two-goal head start."
