The Club has confirmed the Deadline Day signing of Coventry City forward Danny Cashman, who arrives at Poundland Bescot Stadium on a season-long loan.
• 21-year-old Cashman is Walsall's 17th signing of the summer
• Forward arrives on a season-long loan
• Product of Brighton & Hove Albion youth system
The 21-year-old spent the 2021/22 campaign with fellow League Two side Rochdale where he made some twenty-nine first-team appearances, scoring three goals.
A product of the Brighton and Hove Albion academy, Cashman featured in the Papa John’s Trophy for the Seagulls in the three seasons leading up to his move to the Sky Blues and subsequent loan move with Rochdale.
Saddlers Head Coach Michael Flynn is pleased to have secured the services of Cashman and detailed some of the attributes that attracted him to the forward.
Speaking via the club's official website, Flynn said; "I’m pleased to get Danny over the line. He has League Two experience having been with Rochdale last year and he gives us another attacking option.
"He's a versatile forward who can offer us something different to what we already have in the squad and I am looking forward to working with him.
"He's got the ability to play out wide and through the middle and he has got a great pedigree about him."
