Following the news that he'd become the latest player to make their way through the ranks to pen professional terms with the club, Ronan Maher has welcomed the opportunity to grow with the club.
17-year-old Maher, who made his professional debut earlier this season, was one of the few bright lights in last season's struggling academy side and is determined to secure a regular place in the team.
Speaking via the club's official website, Ronan said; "I’m really happy and thankful to the Head Coach for giving me an opportunity and it’s time for me to kick on.
"My targets are to try and help the Club progress, give the fans something exciting to watch and to cement my place in the squad.
"My family have been with me through thick and thin and they drive me on. They’ve said many times to keep my feet on the ground and stay humble – it’s probably the best thing you can do so I’m going to try and stick by that."
