Arriving at the match on the back of their opening day demolition of Hartlepool United, Walsall were looking to make it two from two as they made the trip to Rodney Parade on Saturday afternoon.
After struggling to get going in the first forty-five, the Saddlers were eventually able to grab the opening goal of the game in the second half as Andy Williams' pressure looked to have forced Mickey Demetriou to guide the ball into the back of his own net, although it could be anybody's goal.
