Heading into the match on the back of a draw with Stevenage, Michael Flynn's Saddlers were hoping to get back to winning ways as they made the trip to Holker Street.
The visitors wasted no time in grabbing the first goal of the game as Tyrell Warren got on the end of Patrick Brough's corner to put the ball beyond Owen Evans, the goal meaning the Saddlers had gone behind for the first time this season.
Barrow were soon two goals ahead as Sam McClelland converted Ben Whitfield's corner into a goal, two set-plays and two goals for buoyant Barrow.
Walsall began the second-half in determined fashion and were soon back within a goal as Tom Knowles, who came off the bench in the first-half, found Danny Johnson in space with the on-loan Mansfield man only too happy to put the ball into the back of the net.
