Former Walsall scholar Jayden Campbell has signed for local Southern Premier Division Central side Rushall Olympic, after missing the entire 2021/22 campaign.
The 19-year-old joined the club as an under-10 and formed part of various levels in the Saddlers' Academy - winning academy player of the year four years in a row - before embarking upon a two-year scholarship, where he entered a string of superb showings in the Youth Alliance and the various Senior Cup competitions.

Despite his clear potential, Campbell, who is believed to have turned down Walsall's offer of a short-term pro deal in the summer of 2021, was unable to find a new club last season and is excited to be given the opportunity to get back into the game.
Speaking via the Pics' official website, Jayden said; "This is an exciting opportunity to me after what seems a long time out of action.
"I grew up just down the road and Rushall have always been a good team and a well-respected club locally.
"I’ve been along to games here quite a bit and now I am looking forward to playing for the club. The lads have been really welcoming and I thank them for that.
"I just can’t wait for the season to start now. I would describe myself as a player who likes to run at the opposition and get the fans excited.
"It’s a really competitive League and each game will be tough, but I am relishing the opportunity to get some competitive senior men’s football under my belt.
"My first target is to become a starter and help the team get up the table. If I can get some goals and assists along the way, I wouldn’t be complaining!"
