The Club has confirmed the signing of former Fulham and Newport County forward Timmy Abraham, who has penned a one-year deal in WS1.
Abraham, the younger brother of England and Roma star Tammy, has made several appearances over the Saddlers' pre-season campaign and adds yet more firepower to the front line.
21-year-old Timmy, who was a free agent after leaving newly-promoted Premier League side Fulham earlier this summer, spent the whole of last season on loan at Rodney Parade after joining the club under Michael Flynn, ahead of the Walsall manager's departure in October.
Abraham scored three goals in seventeen first-team appearances all competitions for the Exiles, with most of his game time coming off the substitutes bench.
Abraham has also enjoyed loan spells with the likes of Raith Rovers, Plymouth Argyle, and Bristol Rovers, and will be hoping to be able to add the Saddlers to his list of clubs as he lines up against Aston Villa at the weekend.
Speaking via the club's official website, Head Coach Michael Flynn said he was impressed with the determination Timmy has shown while on trial and is looking forward to working with him, he said; "Timmy has done well in pre-season. He showed a real work ethic and desire to try and earn a contract here.
"What he adds to the squad is unbelievable pace. He’s a smashing lad, he works hard and now we’ve got to try and improve him in certain areas for him to hopefully fulfill the potential he could have."
