Walsall could be about to lose a crucial member of the backroom team as goalkeeping coach Maik Taylor continues to be linked with a return to Birmingham City.
Taylor, who has formed part of the Saddlers' coaching team since 2019, made more than 240 appearances over a seven-year spell with the St Andrew's side, giving him plenty of reason to return.
Following the Blues' recent axing of Head Coach Lee Bowyer, and subsequent recruitment of John Eustace, 50-year-old Taylor looks set for a return to the second city.
Taylor is no stranger to a change in manager having worked under four since arriving in WS1 with the likes of Darrell Clarke, Brian Dutton, Matt Taylor, and now Michael Flynn all requiring his services.
Neither Walsall nor Birmingham City have offered a comment on Maik's future, however, it appears to lie by John Eustace's side.
