The Club has confirmed that this evening's pre-season friendly between the Saddlers and Coventry City will go ahead as planned.
In a statement, released via their official website, club officials insist that, with the extreme weather conditions in mind, the safety and welfare of the players, staff and supporters is paramount.
The two clubs have been in constant dialogue and there will be a number of drinks breaks throughout the fixture.
To ensure that everyone attending the fixture remains safe and hydrated we can confirm the following:
- There will be a free water filling station for those supporters in the Tile Choice Stand, situated at gate three
- There will be a free water filling station for those supports in the Poundland Stand lower tier, situated at gate eight
- Coventry City supporters can visit the away bar for free water upon request
- Stewards will be on hand distributing water throughout the game for those who need it
- We will also have four kiosks open for supporters to purchase food and drinks. There will also be a concession unit under the undercroft between the Tile Choice Stand and the Poundland Stand
The Community Hub will also be open before the game, at half-time and after the match
Supporters are advised to stay hydrated, apply sun cream regularly and contact the nearest steward or first aider if they are feeling unwell.
