Walsall are believed to be among a small group of clubs interested in soon-to-be-former Harrogate Town man Ryan Fallowfield, who will become a free agent when his contract expires at the end of June.
The 26-year-old defender, who made thirty-four first-team appearances last season, will be leaving the Sulphurites later this summer after manager Simon Weaver opted not to pursue fresh terms.
As first reported by The72, Michael Flynn's Saddlers are joined by the likes of Barrow, Doncaster Rovers, and Leyton Orient in pursuit of the Hull-born right back, who is leaving Harrogate following three separate spells with the club.
Advancing through the ranks of his hometown club, Hull City, Ryan first joined Harrogate on loan in 2014 going on to make twenty-one first-team appearances, before joining them permanently the next year.
After missing much of the season via injury, Fallowfield went on to join North Ferriby United, making twenty-nine appearances before returning to Harrogate in the summer of 2017, where he has gone on to make over 160 club appearances.
