The Saddlers ended their 2021/22 League Two campaign with a home clash against Play-Off chasing Swindon Town.
Played out in front of a packed Bank's Stadium, the Saddlers had little more than pride to play for as their campaign was to end with another bottom-half finish.
The visitors wasted no time in getting among the goals as Harry McKirdy slammed the ball into the back of the net following Mandela Egbo's blocked effort.
Swindon went on to double their lead with twenty-five minutes played as Jack Payne put the ball beyond Carl Rushworth, the 2021/22 Young Player of the Season not exactly helped by his backline.
The Robins added another goal before the break as Donervon Daniels felled McKirdy inside the area, Payne took the resulting penalty and made it three-nil to his Play-Off bound side.
