The club has confirmed the signing of Bolton Wanderers defender Liam Gordon, who will join the Saddlers on a two-year deal.
The 23-year-old will officially join on Friday, 1st July when his contract with the League One Trotters comes to an end.
Gordon, who is predominantly a left-back, played 36 times for the Trotters during his two-year spell at the University of Bolton Stadium, 21 of those coming last season in League One.
Liam began his professional career at National League club Dagenham & Redbridge, and, after a couple of loan spells at the start of the 2017/18 season, made his debut in April 2018, scoring in a 5-3 victory over Guiseley.
Gordon went on to establish himself in Dagenham's team in the 2018-19 season and, in 2020, he caught the eye of Bolton boss Ian Evatt who signed him on a two-year deal.
The defender has also represented his country, Guyana, at senior level, earning seven caps, whilst also playing at the 2019 Gold Cup.
Speaking via the club's official website, Head Coach Michael Flynn welcomed his newest signing to the club.
Flynn said; "I’m delighted to add Liam to the squad. He’s got good experience of a winning team from his time at Bolton.
"He’s fit, quick, a good crosser of the ball, athletic and fits everything that I want in a wing-back. He’s hungry to stamp down a place in the team and to take us forward."
