Walsall goalkeeper Jack Rose has become the first of likely many to confirm that he will be leaving the club when his contract expires at the end of June.
Rose made just seven first-team appearances during the Saddlers' 2021/22 campaign as on-loan Brighton & Hove Albion 'keeper Carl Rushworth shone between the sticks, picking up several awards at last weekend's End of Season Awards.

Speaking via his official Twitter page, Jack confirmed; "My time [at Walsall FC] has come to and [sic] end just wanted to thank the fans for always supporting me and I wish you all the best for the future. I’m sure soon enough you’ll get back up there."
Jack came through the ranks with West Bromwich Albion, where he signed his first professional contract in June 2013. He was loaned to Accrington in November 2014 and kept a clean sheet on his professional debut in an FA Cup tie at Notts County - his first of eight starts for Stanley.
The 6’3” stopper had a similar spell with Crawley towards the end of the 2015/16 campaign, playing five times for the Reds before returning to the Hawthorns, and rejoining the development team.
After leaving the Baggies in 2017, Jack signed for Southampton, where he would form part of their development team before ultimately joining the Saddlers on a season-long loan.
Making six-first-team appearances, Jack's loan would become permanent the following summer, as he looked to cement his place in the starting eleven.
However, after making 18 appearances during the 2020/21 campaign, Jack struggled to get games this season, and will no doubt be keen to find a number 1 spot when he begins the search for a new club this summer.
All the best, Jack!
