We would like to advise fans of a planned closure on the M6 this weekend, which will affect travel both before and after Walsall's League Two clash with Swindon Town, which is due to take place on Saturday afternoon.
The motorway will close in both directions between the entry and exit sliproads of Junction 10 (J10) from 10.00pm on Friday, 6th May before reopening at 6.00am on Monday, 9th May 2022.
As Walsall Council and Highways England continue to make improvements to Junction 10 (J10), motorway traffic will be diverted up and over the junction and, as a result, there are likely to be significant delays to local traffic.
Access to the northbound M6 heading towards Wolverhampton, the M54, and Stafford will also be closed at Junction 9 (J9) during the weekend with traffic diverted onto the local road network.
