Rushall-born Bond, who joined the board in 2005 following a chance meeting with then-chairman Jeff Bonser, formed Cavalier Fasteners in 1985, growing the operation into a multi-million-pound business, before selling to a national company in 2008.
During his time as a Director, Nigel sat on the Club’s Youth Development Committee, as well as the Community Programme’s Board of Trustees, a position he recently relinquished after some fourteen years.
Bond was also one of several directors who loaned the club money over his time in the boardroom, with his payments believed to total over £500,000, with the current ownership likely to be looking into ways of making repayments whilst also helping Head Coach Michael Flynn add to his currently slim squad.

Nigel joined the Board of Directors in 2005 and has played an important role at the club throughout his 17-year tenure.
The Board of Directors would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Nigel. The club can confirm that a payment plan has been agreed with Nigel for the repayment of his loans.
