Following the news that he'd suffered an ACL injury which could see him miss a year of action, Walsall forward Conor Wilkinson has taken to social media to offer an update on his status and thank the fans for their support.
Conor was forced to come off during the Saddlers' recent defeat to Rochdale, and, following a series of scans and tests, was found to have suffered an ACL injury, with the issue requiring immediate surgical intervention.

Though he has now undergone a successful operation - the procedure taking place shortly after the Saddlers had secured their place in League Two with a welcome win over Carlisle United - Wilkinson could miss the whole of the Saddlers' 2022/23 campaign.
Speaking via his official Instagram profile, Conor said; "Successful surgery, let the road to recovery begin, can’t wait to be back! Thanks for all your messages of support!"
