Walsall's development team returned to action on Tuesday afternoon as they took part in their latest Central League outing of the season, with the side making the trip to Poolfoot Farm, where they faced Fleetwood Town.
Often managed by first-team player/coach Mat Sadler the team was made up of a mixture of academy prospects and first-teamers with Zak Mills, Brendan Kiernan, and Sam Perry lining up alongside the likes of Ronan Maher, and Shay Willock.

Substitutes: Taylor, A.Trialist, Edwards, B.Trialist, Hunter
Captained by central defender Tom Leak, the Saddlers started the game well and went on to open the scoring midway through the first-half as Brendan Kiernan slotted home from the penalty spot.
The home side got themselves back on level terms just before half-time as former Leeds United apprentice Max McMillan took advantage of some slack defending to slot the ball past young Walsall 'keeper Jenson Kilroy.
The Saddlers put themselves back into the lead with twenty-minutes of the game remaining as trialist Oliver Waddison put the ball into the back of the net, with the development side seemingly heading towards a welcome victory.
However, their lead would last mere minutes as young Cod Army defender Chiekh Thiam was able to get on the end of a poor Walsall clearance to put the ball beyond Kilroy to level the scores once again.
Walsall refused to be condemned to taking just one point and went on to grab the match-winning goal in the final moments of the game as Sam Perry found the back of the net with a superb volley from outside the area.
A welcome win for the second string as they look to force their way into contention.
