Arriving at the match on the back of a five-nil hammering at the hands of Swindon Town, the Saddlers looked to get back to winning ways as they welcomed mid-table Hartlepool United to Banks's Stadium.
The first goal of the game arrived with around thirteen minutes on the clock, as George Miller combined with right-wing back Emmanuel Osadebe to net his tenth goal of the season.
The Saddlers' second goal of the match arrived some thirteen minutes later as Conor Wilkinson opened his account for the afternoon, Joss Labadie the man to provide the assist.
Walsall didn't have it all their own way, however, as the visitors were able to halve the deficit a few minutes after the hour mark as Omar Bogle slotted past Carl Rushworth.
Thankfully for the Saddlers, they were soon able to regain their two-goal lead as George Miller added another to his steadily increasing account, putting Walsall 3-1 ahead.
