Arriving at the match on the back of a run of five consecutive defeats, Matthew Taylor and his Saddlers were in desperate need of a return to winning ways as they welcomed the Cobblers to Banks's Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The match got off to a slow start with ten minutes being played before the inevitable happened as Louis Appéré tapped the ball beyond Carl Rushworth as the defence failed to deal with a Mitch Pinnock free-kick.
