Walsall FC has today confirmed that the club and defender Ash Taylor have agreed to terminate his contract with immediate effect.
Taylor, who made fifteen first-team appearances since arriving in WS1 last summer, has already agreed terms with Scottish Championship side Kilmarnock, where he will reunite with manager Derek McInnes, whom he worked with during two spells with Aberdeen.
31-year-old Taylor, who was recently diagnosed with COVID, has penned an 18-month contract with the East Ayrshire side, and is happy to make the move back to Scotland.

Speaking via Kilmarnock's official website, Ash said; "I’m really excited to join as I know what a great club Kilmarnock is having played against them in the past and I can’t wait to get going.
"Everything about Killie is exciting at the moment, especially the challenge to gain promotion back to the Premiership by winning the league."
