Walsall Head Coach Matt Taylor has spoken to the local press and confirmed that the club is looking to extend the stay of winger Otis Khan, as the former Tranmere Rovers man continues to be tracked by other clubs.
Khan, who joined the Saddlers on a short-term deal in October, netted two goals during the Red's most recent outing - a 3-0 triumph over Colchester United - giving the club little choice but to begin talks.
The 26-year-old has made eight first-team appearances for the Saddlers and is now said to be talking to club officials in order to thrash out the terms of an improved deal.
Speaking ahead of this weekend's League Two match with Newport County, Matthew said; "We’re in dialogue with Otis. As and when I know more, you guys will know more.

"The one thing I will say is that we want good footballers at this football club. To have Otis here is something we would like, something I would like.
"But in terms of anything other than that, that’s for Jamie to deal with. That’s what his remit is. We’re in dialogue with Otis.
"From my perspective, I want him to continue focusing on his football. He had to wait a long time to get in the team, and now it’s an opportunity for him to show consistency.
"I’m excited to see what he will bring to the table in the next four or five games."
