"This is continuing a long tradition of Walsall players visiting the wards to distribute Christmas gifts, although this year due to restrictions, it’ll be in the form of a player formally presenting the toys outside the Hospital Main Entrance."
Walsall Director Roy Whalley was also grateful for Poundland’s donation, he said; "Poundland are a senior commercial partner to Walsall FC through their Stand Sponsorship and Midpoint M6 advertising commitments.

"Their support does not stop there. Through the Poundland Charitable Foundation they have close ties with the Walsall FC Community Programme, and that commitment to supporting good causes is illustrated by their substantial donation of toys to our Christmas Toy Appeal.
"We are extremely grateful to them for this support, which means that we are able to make sure that more deserving local children than ever before will have presents to open on Christmas morning.
"I can think of no better cause at this time of the year than putting a smile on the faces of children. Thank you Poundland and all of our supporters who have brought presents along."
The club would like to thank Poundland and all supporters for their generous donations. Supporters can make donations at tomorrow's game by heading to the Savoy entrance and can find details, here.
