Speaking after the Saddlers thumped Colchester by three-goals-to-nil at the Banks's, Taylor praised his side for their 'complete performance', which saw them edge back into the top half of the table.
Goals from Otis Khan, who grabbed his first and second goals in a Walsall shirt, and Jack Earing, were enough to see the Saddlers home to victory, a result which stretches their advantage over the drop zone to a welcome twelve points.
The gaffer admitted his side had to ride their luck for portions of the game, but fully deserved their win and hopes they can kick on and go on a winning run ahead of the New Year.
Speaking to the local media, Matthew said; "I'm happy. It was more of a complete performance from the team. We were ruthless in front of goal.

"There was a calmness to the two goals from Otis, and Jack's as well. As an attacking team, we were a real threat. We looked strong and powerful.
"We started the game really well and there was an intent to our performance. So, I'm very, very pleased. For a period, we rode our luck.
"But you always have to do that and, most definitely, the players have done their jobs. There was an intent to each and every player's performance. We've got to continue now and go on a run.".
