Speaking after his side rounded off the group stage of the competition with a defeat, Matthew Taylor admitted he wasn't happy with his players' performance, but insisted there are still some positives to take from the game.
Goals from Mat Stevens (15') and Jake Young (88') were enough to see Forest Green rise to the top of the group, securing a home tie in Saturday afternoon's Second Round draw.
Speaking to the assembled media, Matthew said; "I didn't like us in the first half. I thought we paid them too much respect. We didn't press the way I wanted.
"In the second half, though, there was a marked improvement. You have to contextualise things a bit.
"Things are going well at the club. We're through in this competition, still in the FA Cup and in good form in the league. There's still a lot to be pleased about."
