Arriving at the match on the back of their first loss in over a month, Walsall were looking to return to winning ways as they welcomed Play-Off chasing, though in poor form, Harrogate Town to Banks's Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Saddlers were poor for much of the opening forty-five, something which was further evidenced as they fell behind just short of the half-way mark as, following the awarding of a controversial free-kick, Harrogate took the lead via Simon Power, who put his side on track for a first win in five league games.
The Saddlers fell further behind shortly after the hour mark, as Jack Diamond capped off a counter-attack by putting the ball pas Carl Rushworth, who did manage to get something on the ball, and into the back of the net.
Luke Armstrong went on to add a third goal for the visitors as the Saddlers were handed their first league defeat in over a month as, however controversial the goals, Harrogate returned to winning ways.
Walsall went on to grab a late consolation as Kieran Phillips slammed home following something of a scramble following a poorly dealt with free-kick.
