Enjoying an unbeaten October, Matthew Taylor's Saddlers played host to Barrow on Saturday afternoon as they looked to add to their recent run and continue their steady climb towards mid-table mediocrity.
Walsall started the game in fine fashion as on-loan Barnsley man George Miller grabbed his sixth goal of the game with just four minutes on the clock. The frontman prodding the ball home after a mini-goalmouth scramble.
Despite enjoying the better play of the game, with their opponents often struggling to contain them, the Saddlers were dragged back on level terms with under nine minutes of the first-half remaining as George Williams found the back of the net.
After a slow start to the second-half, it was the Saddlers who grabbed the third goal of the match as George Miller added to his tally with a lovely flick that took the ball beyond Paul Farman in the Barrow goal.
There was late heartbreak for the Saddlers as former Walsall striker Josh Gordon grabbed an equaliser deep into second-half injury time to seal a share of the spoils for his new side.
