After being sent off during Saturday's League Two draw with Bradford City, Walsall captain Joss Labadie has issued a statement apologising to Saddlers fans and his teammates.
Elliot Watt gave the home side the lead with fourteen minutes in the clock, but the Saddlers were able to level the scores via summer signing Jack Earing with three minutes of the first-half remaining.
But the Saddlers were immediately dealt a blow as midfielder Labadie saw red for a tough challenge on Gareth Evans, giving his side a tough task as they hoped to build upon last weekend's victory over Stevenage.
In what was a welcome display of defensive nous, the Saddlers were able to withstand the Bantams' pressure to take a welcome point, as they look to edge further from the League Two drop zone.
Speaking via his official Twitter feed, Joss said; "Sincere apologies to all Saddlers this evening, especially my teammates.

"Whilst I’d never intentionally hurt an opponent, strong challenges and tenacity is something that has always been a part of my game and always will be.
"Superb graft from the lads to come away with a point."
