According to information first posted by Walsall reporter Joe Edwards, the Saddlers will be without forward Conor Wilkinson for the next few weeks, whilst attacking-midfielder Rory Holden has gone under the knife.
Wilkinson, who netted his first Walsall goal in a 1-0 victory over Stevenage at the end of August, missed last weekend's draw with Bradford City due to a pulled hamstring, isn't expected to be out for an extended period but could still miss around a month of action.
Meanwhile, 24-year-old Holden has suffered a series of injury setbacks in 2021, resulting in him only managing to make two competitive appearances since the year began, and has now undergone an exploratory procedure in his latest bid to return from injury.
Holden had been back in training a few weeks ago but, as he was hoping to be involved in a matchday squad, suffered another setback, which sparked the club's decision to seek further information, and led to his recent procedure.
