Naming a strong but varied line-up, which included the likes of Tom Leak, Joe Willis, Alfie Bates, and Sam Perry, the Saddlers XI looked to end their pre-season with a welcome win at the Tigers' Sandy Lane ground.
The match was a competitive affair, with the home side probably enjoying the lion share of the ball as they looked to give their higher-ranked opponents something to think about heading into the new campaign.
Both sides created a few goal-scoring opportunities, with the Saddlers even seeing a goal ruled out for offside before Worksop eventually opened the scoring via former Saddlers winger James Baxendale's free-kick, which was turned home by defender Jack Picton shortly after the half-an-hour mark.
The home side doubled their lead five minutes into the second-half as Connor Smythe's cross was turned home by Zayn Hakeem. A great start to the half for the home side.
Worksop's third goal of the game came via a Steven McDonnell thunderbolt, as he lashed a free-kick into the top of the goal from around 25-yeards. A superb goal as the Tigers continued to enjoy their evening, although their management team may want to remind their players that they were footballers and not MMA fighters.
