As first reported by Football Insider, Walsall's Academy Manager Miguel Llera is in the frame to replace Russell Martin at Milton Keynes Dons, with the former Sheffield Wednesday man among a host of candidates.
Llera, who saw his Walsall Under-18s suffer an opening day defeat to Fleetwood Town at the weekend, made thirty-six league appearances for the Stadium:MK side in 2008/09 and, if signed, would be taking his first steps into first-team management,
After coaching various age groups with both Sheffield Wednesday, Chesterfield, and Sheffield FC, Miguel joined the Saddlers in July 2019 and has overseen the youth team ever since.
Llera, who holds UEFA Pro, A and B Licence as well as a PDP Advanced Youth Award, also launched the Miguel Llera International Football Academy where he looks to spot unsigned and untapped talent before helping them take steps to make their way in the game.
Neither Walsall FC nor MK Dons have commented on the possibility of Miguel making a move, but we'll keep you posted if more information comes to light.
