Walsall boss Matthew Taylor has backed his side to get among the goals, despite failing to find the back of the net during the opening week of the new campaign.
Speaking after his side had failed to find the target during last weekend's season-opener against Tranmere Rovers and the subsequent cup clash with Doncaster Rovers, the gaffer is keen to remain upbeat heading into Saturday's clash with Forest Green Rovers.
Although yet to find the back of the net in open play - the team suffering a penalty shoot-out defeat to Donny on Tuesday - it's not for a want of trying, as the Saddlers created some seventeen shots against Tranmere last weekend.
With the team set to take on their third 'Rovers' in as many games, Taylor insisted it is a matter of confidence before backing his team to start scoring very soon.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Matthew said; "On Saturday against Tranmere, I think we made seventeen opportunities, but only had four shots on target.

"Then, I look at our decision-making in the final third against Doncaster, and was it better than Saturday? Yes.
"So, it's being realistic with the situation and understanding it's going to take time for the players' confidence to really grow.
"But I'm sure as I possibly can be that once we get one and the confidence starts flowing, and the players believe, the goals will be flowing."
Taylor went on to admit that his players are desperate to get going and insisted he is happy with his squad before backing them to find their feet, something that the Saddlers faithful will no doubt welcome heading into this weekend's clash.
Matthew continued; "The players are desperate for it. I've been there myself, and sometimes you try too hard and don't do the things that come naturally.

"But I'm extremely happy with our forward line. They've got really good attributes for this level of football.
"It's now just a case of continuing to work on a daily basis, so that when we get opportunities, we make better decisions."
