Heading into the match on the back of a midweek draw with Scunthorpe United, Matthew Taylor and his Saddlers were looking to secure their first win of the season as they made the trip North to take on recently-promoted Hartlepool.
Walsall's woes continued as the home side ran out comfortable winners at Victoria Park. Goals from Tyler Burey and Nicky Featherstone, the former Saddlers converting a spot-kick, didn't tell the whole story as the Saddlers slumped to another defeat.
