Walsall have secured the signature of former Port Vale defender Zak Mills, who joins the club on a one-year deal.
The 29-year-old arrives with a wealth of experience in Sky Bet League Two, having represented a handful of clubs in the division.
He began his career at Histon in non-league before moving to Boston United in 2014. He then made the step-up to the EFL in 2016 when he joined Grimsby Town.

The Peterborough-born defender featured sixty-six times at Blundell Park before he went on to join Morecambe in 2018.
Mills played a key part in helping the Shrimps climb away from relegation trouble to finish 18th in the 2018-19 season and went on to win the club’s Supporters’ Player of the Year award.
He left Mazuma Stadium that summer and signed for Oldham Athletic. He made 29 appearances for the Latics but left after one season before his move to Vale Park in 2020.
