Newly appointed Head Coach Matthew Taylor has spoken to the local press and confirmed his desire to keep player/ coach Mat Sadler and goalkeeping coach Maik Taylor at the club.
Matthew, who joined the club alongside First-Team Coach Neil McDonald last week, insisted the duo offer a vital level of experience along with a welcome connection to the club - Sadler in particular having a lengthy history in WS1.
39-year-old Taylor, who opted to leave a position among Tottenham Hotspur's coaching set-up in order to join the Saddlers, is likely to lean heavily upon the experienced duo as he looks to help the team rebound from last season's worst-ever finish.
Speaking to Express & Star reporter Liam Keen, Matt said; "Yes, to both. Mat is very much pivotal to the way we're going to do things this season.

"I talk about people having strengths that maybe I don't, and he understands this football club. He has a real connection and that's vitally important.
"Mat is somebody that will be part of the staff along with Maik. Maik has been at the club for a period of time and had a hugely successful career.
"He's somebody that I think our goalkeepers are exceptionally lucky to have in terms of his knowledge and understanding of the game. I'm very excited to work with both of those guys."
